Resumen
El presente estudio analiza la accesibilidad de la educación superior privada en la ciudad de Barranquilla
teniendo en cuenta perspectivas como las ofertas de programas académicos, demanda laboral, estrato
socioeconómico y género de los estudiantes, de la misma manera se consideraron factores como la
relación entre los programas ofertados por las instituciones de educación superior privada y las carreras
demandadas en el mercado laboral buscando identificar posibles brechas o alineaciones. Asimismo, se
analizó la relación entre deserción estudiantil y el género, buscando identificar posibles disparidades y
factores relacionados con la retención y el éxito académico de hombres y mujeres. Siendo el objetivo
principal de esta investigación proporcionar una comprensión integral de la accesibilidad de la educación
superior privada en Barranquilla, con el fin de informar y promover estrategias que favorezcan una mayor
equidad y oportunidades para todos los estudiantes de la ciudad.
The present study analyzes the accessibility of private higher education in the city of Barranquilla taking into account perspectives such as the offers of academic programs, labor demand, socioeconomic status and gender of students, in the same way factors such as the relationship between the programs offered by private higher education institutions and the careers demanded in the labor market seeking to identify possible gaps or alignments. Likewise, the relationship between student dropout and gender was analyzed, seeking to identify possible disparities and factors related to retention and academic success of men and women. The main objective of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the accessibility of private higher education in Barranquilla, in order to inform and promote strategies that favor greater equity and opportunities for all students in the city.
