Resumen
Introducción: Los estilos de vida saludable juegan un papel importante para el joven universitario. En este ciclo de la vida es importante la nutrición y el ejercicio para potenciar los aprendizajes. Objetivo: Analizar los estilos de vida de alimentación y actividad física en estudiantes universitarios de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Salud en IES en Barranquilla. Método: La investigación tuvo enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo descriptivo; abordó una muestra de 289 estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias de la salud, se usó instrumento tipo encuesta. Resultados: La población con mayor práctica de sedentarismo se ubica en el Programa Académico de Enfermería con un 91.7%, mientras que los menos sedentarios correspondieron a los estudiantes del Programa de Fisioterapia con un 20.8%. Conclusiones: Los estudiantes de fisioterapia poseen mayor apropiación de estilos de vida (92.3%). Existen barreras para ejercitarse como no gustarle, otras responsabilidades que interfieren con la práctica deportiva y exceso de tareas académicas.
Introduction: Healthy lifestyles play an important role for the young university student. Nutrition and exercise are important in this life cycle.
