This paper has its foundations in the right to enjoy good health, which is universal and recognized by all. The United Nations, with a view to supporting the realization of this right, has drafted SDG 3, which is closely related to health and well-being. One of the objectives of this SDG is to full health coverage for all, including access to quality essential health services [1]. In Colombia, health is a sensitive issue, including asking for ambulance transportation service in an emergency, as the process is commonly time-consuming even considering how relevant that factor is to predict or address unfortunate situations. Because of this, the project in question to build a prototype MVP of a mobile application “AmbulaYA 919” to call for ambulances in case of emergency in the city of Barranquilla without having to call 123 and wait to be treated. This, through a usability test proved to be a possible efficient and intuitive alternative making this process easier for its users.
