Migration significantly impacts children, generating psychosocial effects that influence their school adaptation process. During the migration process, children face the loss of their family and cultural environment, leading them to confront a new unknown world. The acclimation process, involving adaptation and survival in a foreign country, demands considerable efforts from children who must learn the language, norms, and laws of the new environment. In the specific context of the Misael Pastrana Borrero Educational Institution, the school adaptation of migrant children reveals challenges such as a lack of economic support, attachment to relatives in the country of origin, changes in learning methodology, and difficulty adapting to new teachers and classmates. This research aims to understand the psychosocial impacts derived from the school adaptation process in migrant children, emphasizing the importance of addressing the causes that may lead to the exclusion of the child population from the educational system
