Resumen
Este artículo analiza las desigualdades salariales que afectan a los soldados
profesionales en Colombia, evaluando la brecha con otros rangos de las Fuerzas
Militares, como oficiales y suboficiales. Utilizando un enfoque de investigación mixto,
se recopilaron datos cualitativos y cuantitativos para identificar las causas y
consecuencias de estas disparidades salariales, y se compararon con políticas de
países como Estados Unidos, Alemania y Canadá. Los resultados destacan que los
soldados profesionales enfrentan una vulnerabilidad económica estructural que
contraviene los principios de equidad de la Constitución de Colombia. Finalmente,
el artículo propone reformas orientadas a garantizar mayor equidad salarial,
mejorando no solo la calidad de vida de los soldados, sino también la cohesión
interna y la eficiencia operativa de las Fuerzas Militares.
