The present research seeks to analyze the implications that may have an impact on social skills in terms of the problem of divorce in the lives of third to fifth grade students of the Luis Gabriel Castro School in Villa del Rosario, aged between seven and fourteen years old. For this purpose, a sociodemographic sheet of our own authorship and the Monjas social interaction skills questionnaire were taken into account, where sections such as basic social skills, interpersonal problem-solving skills and skills related to emotions and feelings were taken into account in order to respond to the objectives set out in the research, where data were collected from 100 students of the institution corresponding to the grades and ages established for the research. In this sense, the quantitative positivist approach with an experimental design and a descriptive scope was taken into account, the result of this was that an analysis and interpretation of the research could be generated in a satisfactory manner. On the other hand, this research provides psychological, educational and social contributions, and highlights the fact of the autonomy of minors in terms of the stage they are in, and how this is reflected in the behavior of infants with respect to their environment. As a result of this, gender, grade and whether the students had separated parents or not were taken into account, in order to indicate each of the results, analyzing the level of skills possessed by the students to whom the research was carried out, where it was concluded that they have an incredible ability to communicate and interact with their friends and adults, interacting in a socially acceptable way with their environment. And in turn, they have skills in areas of communication, which allow them to initiate and maintain conversations fluently, introduce themselves to others and say thank you.
