Resumen
El rol de la familia es de gran importancia en todos los entornos y etapas en los que viven y/o experimentar cada ser humano. Es el eje básico para el mantenimiento de la salud
integral de cada uno de sus miembros. Cuando desempeña sus funciones y ayuda a superar las crisis que se les presentan, se considera que es funcional.
Cuando los jóvenes ingresan a la universidad, traen consigo un conjunto de valores y habilidades familiares necesarios para la acción autónoma y la gestión de esta nueva etapa de la vida. La universidad se ha convertido también en un marco de formación social con nuevos desafíos y un espacio para promover la salud.
En el contexto educativo, los estudiantes a menudo encuentran inconvenientes al adaptarse a las normas institucionales o la dinámica existente de la institución. En algunos casos, estos problemas revelan que se originaron en el entorno familiar, por lo que el funcionamiento familiar puede considerarse como un aspecto que tiene un impacto relevante en los jóvenes. La funcionalidad familiar y la satisfacción con la vida en estudiantes universitarios va relacionado a cómo perciben ellos su situación familiar y a su vez como dan una evaluación de sí mismos.
Tomando las variables de funcionamiento familiar y satisfacción con la vida se realizó una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva de corte transversal con el objetivo de Caracterizar la funcionalidad familiar y el nivel de satisfacción con la vida en estudiantes de enfermería de la Universidad Simón Bolívar.
Al analizar la funcionalidad familiar el 50% de los estudiantes de la Universidad Simón Bolívar tienen una disfunción familiar leve y el 39.5 % tiene buena función familiar
En cuanto a la variable satisfacción con la vida, los hallazgos (puntaje global) obtenidos en el presente estudio señalan que los estudiantes el 35.8% de los estudiantes se ubican en el nivel de “altamente satisfecho” 38.9% se ubican en el nivel de “satisfecho”; el 19.6% “insatisfecho” y el 5.3% extremadamente, siendo el sexo femenino el más predominante en toda la investigación

In the educational context, students often find it difficult to adapt to institutional norms or the existing dynamics of the institution. In some cases, these problems reveal that they originated in the family environment, so that family functioning can be considered as an aspect that has a relevant impact on young people. Family functionality and life satisfaction in university students is related to how they perceive their family situation and in turn how they give an evaluation of themselves. Taking the variables of family functioning and satisfaction with life, a quantitative, descriptive cross-sectional investigation was carried out with the objective of characterizingfamily functionality and the level of satisfaction with life in nursing students of the Simon Bolivar University.
