This research, entitled Coping Strategies and Self-Esteem Characteristics in Students Victims of Cyberbullying at an Educational Institution, analyzes, using a qualitative approach 3 and a hermeneutic paradigm, how adolescent victims of cyberbullying cope with this situation and how it impacts their self-concept and self-esteem. It seeks to understand not only the visible behaviors but also the emotional processes they experience. Various coping tactics based on the Lazarus and Folkman model are identified, differentiating between strategies focused on problem-solving and others focused on regulating the emotional impact. This analysis provides insight into how young people manage distress and seek to regain control over their environment. It also characterizes the level of self-esteem, observing a direct relationship between constant exposure to cyberbullying and symptoms such as anxiety, sadness, insecurity, and depression, which negatively affect academic performance and social relationships. Additionally, input from school committee members and clinical psychology experts is included through semi-structured interviews, which broadens our understanding of the phenomenon. In conclusion, the findings demonstrate the need to implement prevention programs that promote resilience, strengthen selfconcept, and create a healthier, more empathetic, and safer school environment for the comprehensive development of adolescents.
