Resumen
El objeto de estudio de la investigación se dirige al análisis de las percepciones sociales de los adultos mayores del Centro de Bienestar del Adulto Mayor del municipio de Arauca al desvincularse de su familia, así se nos permite contemplar las causas que conllevan a su abandono, y conocer sus vivencias frente a la indiferencia familiar, lo cual se logrará con entrevistas profundas ya que es necesario obtener respuestas individuales de la población.
Se desarrolla con una metodología de tipo interpretativa la cual permite dilucidar el papel activo de los sujetos participantes en cuanto a vivencias y emociones desde el abandono familiar y el significado que para este representa. Y con enfoque cualitativo ya que permite estudiar la realidad en su contexto natural y este nos permite conocer el sentir propio de los adultos mayores que se encuentran en el hogar geriátrico.
Uno de los hallazgos más comunes en el análisis de abandono del adulto mayor por parte de su núcleo familiar evidenciado en la presente investigación se da cuando este ha cumplido con su ciclo laboral útil, pues se convierte en una persona poco productiva económicamente, momento en el cual se rompe la interacción, la comunicación y el afecto, condenándolo a verse como una carga para la familia, realidad que viven miles de adultos mayores en nuestro país.
The object of study of the research is directed to the analysis of the social perceptions of the older adults of the Centro de Bienestar del Adulto Mayor of the municipality of Arauca when they disengage from their family, thus allowing us to contemplate the causes that lead to their abandonment, and to know their experiences in the face of family indifference, which will be achieved with in-depth interviews since it is necessary to obtain individual responses from the population. It is developed with an interpretative methodology which allows to elucidate the active role of the participating subjects in terms of experiences and emotions from the family abandonment and the meaning it represents for them. And with a qualitative approach since it allows us to study reality in its natural context and this allows us to know the feelings of the older adults who are in the geriatric home. One of the most common findings in the analysis of abandonment of the older adult by his or her family as evidenced in this research is when he or she has completed his or her useful work cycle, since he or she becomes a person who is not economically productive, at which point interaction, communication and affection are broken, condemning him or her to be seen as a burden for the family, a reality experienced by thousands of older adults in our country.
