Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como propósito determinar las debilidades y fortalezas en el abordaje del trabajador social, frente a la discriminación de la comunidad étnica Yukpa del municipio de Tibú, Norte de Santander, al exponer la situación migratoria de la comunidad étnica Yukpa y su afectación negativa en torno a su desplazamiento obligatorio, donde inciden elementos como la discriminación étnica, xenofobia y marginación hacia los mayores. Por otra parte, la transgresión de derechos se presenta de forma sutil o casi imperceptible, desde un sueldo bajo, sobrenombres ofensivos, negación de algún servicio básico o de salud. La discriminación es latente en adultos, jóvenes y niños, privándolos de una verdadera igualdad social y autonomía social, entre otros. La problemática parte de la recepción de individuo migrante para establecer las primeras pautas de intervención según el estado emocional, ya que los migrantes pueden padecer una condición de crisis en el momento de llegar a otro país; estas circunstancias inhiben de la adecuada valoración al migrante en calidad de que, no le permitirán interpretar la posible violación de sus derechos humanos o las necesidades que necesitan ser cubiertas.
The purpose of this paper is to determine the weaknesses and strengths in the approach of the social worker, against the discrimination of the Yukpa ethnic community of the municipality of Tibú, Norte de Santander, by exposing the migratory situation of the Yukpa ethnic community and its negative affectation. around their compulsory displacement, where elements such as ethnic discrimination, xenophobia and marginalization of the elderly have an impact. On the other hand, the violation of rights is presented in a subtle or almost imperceptible way, from a low salary, offensive nicknames, denial of some basic or health service. Discrimination is latent in adults, youth and children, depriving them of true social equality and social autonomy, among others. The problem stems from the reception of the migrant individual to establish the first intervention guidelines according to the emotional state, since migrants can suffer from a crisis condition at the time of arriving in another country; These circumstances inhibit the proper assessment of the migrant as they will not allow him to interpret the possible violation of his human rights or the needs that need to be covered
