Resumen
El objetivo de este artículo es presentar un análisis de la poca afluencia turística en el municipio pese a
que este brinda múltiples variedades de atractivos turísticos, tanto comercial, Naturales y ecoturístico,
haciendo énfasis en el conflicto armado que tanto ha golpeado este municipio, dar a conocer, todo
aquello que se ofrece y que no solo se vive guerra. Uno de los factores que ha desencadenado una
reducción en la afluencia turística e interés en la región ha sido la percepción de inseguridad. En la
región la violencia del conflicto armado ha golpeado profundamente a sus habitantes, generando
pérdidas de prácticas culturales y deportivas, deterioro de la calidad de vida e incluso, éxodos o
desplazamientos forzados de sus habitantes. El municipio tiene una extensión de 512.5 km2, siendo su
área urbana de 4 km2 y su extensión rural de 508 km2. Está dividida en cincos (5) corregimientos, los
Llanos, Rivera, El Burro, Palestina y Floresta. La cordillera oriental cubre gran parte del territorio
municipal, con alturas que varían entre los 60 y 2300 mts sobre el nivel del mar.
The objective of this article is to present an analysis of the low tourist influx in the municipality even though it offers multiple varieties of tourist attractions, both commercial, natural and ecotourism, emphasizing the armed conflict that has hit this municipality so much, giving knowing, everything that is offered, and that war is experienced. One of the factors that has triggered a reduction in tourist influx and interest in the region has been the perception of insecurity. In the region, the violence of the armed conflict has deeply affected its inhabitants, generating losses of cultural and sports practices, deterioration of the quality of life and even exoduses or forced displacement of its inhabitants. The municipality has an area of 512.5 km2, with an urban area of 4 km2 and a rural area of 508 km2. It is divided into five (5) sub-regions, Los Llanos, Rivera, El Burro, Palestina and Floresta. The eastern mountain range covers a large part of the municipal territory, with heights that vary between 60 and 2,300 meters above sea level.
