dc.description.abstractThis resource introduces Hardware description languages (HDLs) to describe digital circuitry using the text-based language VHDL. Students will understand the history behind the creation of HDLs, their role in modern digital design, and the fundamentals of design abstraction and flow in modern digital systems. which relies on HDLs. Fundamental constructs of VHDL will be described, and the design of a VHDL test bench and model of a combinational logic circuit will be implemented and simulated using the EDA playground free online resource. Each topic will be introduced with a text followed by a video(s) and interactive learning activities.eng
