Introduction: Meckel's diverticulum is one of the most frequent congenital abnormalities, which occurs once the alliance between the intestine and the umbilical cord is not closed correctly, during which the fetal evolution is considered, leading to formation of a small pocket in the small intestine This analysis shows the situation of a patient with dysfunctional gastrointestinal motility. Objective: to establish nursing care for patients with dysfunctional gastrointestinal motility through the NANDA, NOC, NIC taxonomy. in order to contribute to the well-being of the patient. Method: A 43-year-old patient was selected in the intensive care unit of a IV level clinic in the city of Barranquilla, the clinical approach included monitoring during the course of his stay in the service and application of the instruments of family health. Additionally, the Nursing Care Process was created and implemented based on Betty Neumann's theoretical model. Results: the following diagnoses were identified DOMAIN: 11: Safety / Protection Class: 1 Infection Diagnosis: Risk of infection R / C Invasive Medical devices and wound. DOMAIN: 11 Safety / Protection Class: 2 Physical injury Diagnosis: Risk of deterioration of skin integrity R / C Difficulty for Physical Mobility. DOMAIN: 12 Comfort Class: 1 Physical comfort Diagnosis: Acute pain R / C Surgical Wound. The familiogram analysis identified that the patient's family is extensive; In relation to the family life cycle it is in full extension, its economic status is stable, with respect to educational level we find that all members have a degree of professional and technical preparation. In terms of health, the family is relatively healthy.
