Resumen
Este estudio se llevó a cabo en la Institución Educativa Manuel Fernández
de Novoa y busca fortalecer la competencia comunicativa lectora mediante el uso
de contenido digital audiovisual. La investigación surge del interés en reconocer
las debilidades lectoras de los estudiantes y explorar cómo los medios
audiovisuales pueden mejorar estas habilidades. Se adoptó una metodología de
investigación-acción participativa con un enfoque mixto, combinando métodos
cuantitativos y cualitativos. Se aplicaron pruebas estandarizadas y secuencias
didácticas, y se realizaron grupos focales para profundizar en las percepciones de
los estudiantes. Los resultados indican que el uso de contenido digital audiovisual
motiva a los estudiantes y mejora su rendimiento lector. Las estrategias
desarrolladas pueden ser aplicadas en diversas instituciones educativas para
mejorar la competencia lectora y contribuir al desarrollo profesional de los
docentes.

The research originates from the interest in recognizing students' reading weaknesses and exploring how audiovisual media can improve these skills. A participatory action research methodology with a mixed approach was adopted, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Standardized tests and didactic sequences were applied, and focus groups were conducted to delve into students' perceptions. The results indicate that the use of digital audiovisual content motivates students and improves their reading performance. The strategies developed can be applied in various educational institutions to enhance reading competence and contribute to the professional development of teachers.
