The present study examines the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the organization, planning, and sustainability of tourism, drawing upon research conducted in countries such as Ecuador and Spain. Through a descriptive methodological approach based on rigorous documentary review, this work seeks to understand how AI is structurally transforming the value chain within the tourism sector. The study places particular emphasis on analyzing emerging technologies such as Web 4.0, blockchain, the metaverse, and robotics, which are contributing to a profound transformation in how tourist destinations are managed, personalized experiences are created, and key processes are automated. Furthermore, the role of collaborative innovation arising from the articulation between universities, governments, and private enterprises is highlighted as an essential factor for consolidating more intelligent and resilient tourism. The findings reveal an increasing digitalization of the sector, driven by the need to adapt to post-COVID-19 challenges, as well as a trend toward implementing technological strategies that promote efficiency, sustainability, and inclusion. In this regard, the work contributes to both academic and practical reflection on AI's role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly concerning economic development, inequality reduction, and climate action.
