Resumen
La pobreza multidimensional en Colombia es un desafío complejo que va más allá de la simple falta de ingresos. Se trata de una problemática que afecta a diversos aspectos de la vida de millones de colombianos, abarcando áreas como la educación, la salud, la vivienda, el acceso a servicios básicos y la falta de oportunidades laborales. El proyecto titulado " Pobreza multidimensional en el departamento del Atlántico (2016-2019)" tiene como objetivo analizar la pobreza en el Departamento del Atlántico, Colombia, una iniciativa de investigación o estudio que se llevó a cabo en el Departamento, durante el período comprendido entre 2016 y 2019. El objetivo principal de este proyecto es analizar la pobreza en esa región específica, pero con un enfoque particular en lo que se conoce como "pobreza multidimensional”. Se busca estudiar y entender la pobreza en el Departamento no solo desde una perspectiva de ingresos, sino considerando una amplia gama de factores y dimensiones que pueden afectar la calidad de vida de las personas en esa región, con el objetivo de proporcionar un análisis más completo y detallado de la situación de pobreza en ese lugar durante el período de 2016 a 2019. Se implementarán de manera detallada tanto la metodología oficial como una perspectiva alternativa para estimar diferentes indicadores sintéticos de pobreza en la región.
En esta investigación, se utilizarán metodologías tradicionales y alternativas de medición de la pobreza multidimensional, aplicando diferentes criterios de identificación, grados de aversión a la pobreza, niveles de sustitución y umbrales. Esto permitirá realizar una comparación descriptiva de las condiciones de vida de los hogares en el Departamento del Atlántico.
Uno de los resultados principales que se busca obtener es identificar la situación actual de la pobreza multidimensional en el Departamento del Atlántico y evaluar si ha habido mejoras a lo largo del tiempo. Además, se analizarán las dimensiones específicas de la pobreza y se examinará si existen diferencias significativas en comparación con el promedio nacional. Si bien se espera encontrar áreas de mejora, se busca también identificar aquellas dimensiones en las que la situación es más preocupante y donde las reducciones han sido de menor proporción, con el fin de brindar recomendaciones y orientar posibles políticas de desarrollo social en la región.
Para el proyecto se llevará a cabo una revisión bibliográfica y documental exhaustiva con el propósito de analizar la situación actual de pobreza en el Departamento del Atlántico, esto se constituye en una base para trabajos futuros que propongan soluciones efectivas para reducir la pobreza en el departamento.
Multidimensional poverty in Colombia is a complex challenge that goes beyond simple lack of income. It is a problem that affects various aspects of the lives of millions of Colombians, covering areas such as education, health, housing, access to basic services and the lack of job opportunities. The project titled "Multidimensional poverty in the department of Atlántico (2016-2019)" aims to analyze poverty in the Department of Atlántico, Colombia, a research initiative or study that was carried out in the Department, during the period covered between 2016 and 2019. The main objective of this project is to analyze poverty in that specific region, but with a particular focus on what is known as "multidimensional poverty." It seeks to study and understand poverty in the Department not only from a income perspective, but considering a wide range of factors and dimensions that can affect the quality of life of people in that region, with the aim of providing a more complete and detailed analysis of the poverty situation in that place during the period of 2016 to 2019. Both the official methodology and an alternative perspective will be implemented in detail to estimate different synthetic indicators of poverty in the region. Pobreza multidimensional en el departamento del Atlántico (2016-2019) en el departamento de la Guajira In this research, traditional and alternative methodologies for measuring multidimensional poverty will be used, applying different identification criteria, degrees of aversion to poverty, replacement levels and thresholds. This will allow for a descriptive comparison of the living conditions of households in the Department of Atlántico. One of the main results sought to be obtained is to identify the current situation of multidimensional poverty in the Department of Atlántico and evaluate whether there have been improvements over time. Additionally, specific dimensions of poverty will be analyzed and whether there are significant differences compared to the national average. Although it is expected to find areas for improvement, it also seeks to identify those dimensions in which the situation is most worrying and where the reductions have been of a lesser proportion, in order to provide recommendations and guide possible social development policies in the region. For the project, an exhaustive bibliographic and documentary review will be carried out with the purpose of analyzing the current poverty situation in the Department of Atlántico, this constitutes a basis for future work that proposes effective solutions to reduce poverty in the department
