Resumen
Antecedentes: Los factores de riesgo psicosociales, como el estrés, la ansiedad y la depresión, son especialmente relevantes en la actualidad debido a los acontecimientos recientes que han ocurrido en la organización. Un estudio realizado en china reveló que la salud mental se vio afectada de manera significativa al enfrentarse a la pandemia de la COVID-19. Los hallazgos recogidos indicaron que el 0.9% de los encuestados experimentaron ansiedad severa, 2.7% ansiedad moderada y 21.3% ansiedad leve. De acuerdo a datos revelados por la OMS, alrededor de 450 millones de personas padecen de algún trastorno mental a nivel mundial, de los cuales, aproximadamente 1 millón de personas se suicidan a raíz de dicho trastorno; de 400 millones de personas sufren de depresión anualmente y más de 270 millones de personas sufren de crisis de ansiedad al año. En Colombia, se realizó un estudio en el 2018 donde se evidenció los últimos tipos de cambios de la tasa de mortalidad por suicidio ajustada el cual es de 5,07%, con resultados que oscilan entre 0,95% y 12,21% por cada 100.000 habitantes. en Barranquilla se llevó a cabo un análisis de la mortalidad vinculada a la Salud Mental en el período de 2005 a 2019. Donde se estima que en el año 2019 el primer lugar lo ocupan los Trastornos Mentales y del Comportamiento con 1,93 muertes por 100.000 habitantes. Objetivo: Determinar la intensidad de la depresión, ansiedad y estrés en trabajadores de una empresa de manufactura en el distrito de Barranquilla. Materiales métodos: Estudio descriptivo de corte transversal aplicado a 72 trabajadores del área administrativa y operativa de una empresa de manufactura. Se evaluaron las características sociodemográficas y laborales. La intensidad de la depresión, ansiedad y estrés se realizó mediante la aplicación del cuestionario DASS-21, el cual permitió categorizar a los sujetos en leve, moderado, severo y extremo. Resultados: El 18%, 25% y 44,4% de los trabajadores manifestaron tener síntomas asociados a depresión, ansiedad y estrés. En lo que respecta al estado de gravedad de salud mental de esa población se detectó que el 8,33% y 4,16% presenta niveles moderado y severo en depresión, en cuanto a la ansiedad el 22,2% y 9,72% presenta niveles moderados y extremo y en lo que respecta al estrés el 9,72% se encuentra en niveles severos, seguido de un 5,55 grave y un 4,16 extremo. Conclusiones: una gran proporción de trabajadores del área operativa presentó síntomas relacionados con el Estrés. En cuanto al nivel de gravedad, la Depresión y la Ansiedad se clasificaron en su mayoría como moderados, mientras que el Estrés como severo. Es necesario la remisión en el menor tiempo posible al personal médico experto para tomar medidas que contribuyan a la presencia de enfermedades de origen laboral.
Background: Psychosocial risk factors, such as stress, anxiety and depression, are especially relevant today due to recent events that have occurred in the organization. A study conducted in China revealed that mental health was significantly affected in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. The collected findings indicated that 0.9% of respondents experienced severe anxiety, 2.7% moderate anxiety, and 21.3% mild anxiety. According to data revealed by the WHO, around 450 million people suffer from a mental disorder worldwide, of which approximately 1 million people commit suicide as a result of said disorder; More than 400 million people suffer from depression annually and more than 270 million people suffer from anxiety attacks each year. In Colombia, a study was carried out in 2018 where the latest types of changes in the adjusted suicide mortality rate were evidenced, which is 5.07%, with results ranging between 0.95% and 12.21% per every 100,000 inhabitants. In Barranquilla, an analysis of mortality related to Mental Health was carried out in the period from 2005 to 2019. It is estimated that in 2019 the first place is occupied by Mental and Behavioral Disorders with 1.93 deaths per 100,000 population. Objective: To determine the intensity of depression, anxiety and stress in workers of a manufacturing company in the district of Barranquilla. Material methods: Descriptive cross-sectional study applied to 72 workers in the administrative and operational area of a manufacturing company. Sociodemographic and employment characteristics were evaluated. The intensity of depression, anxiety and stress was determined by applying the DASS-21 questionnaire, which allowed the subjects to be categorized as mild, moderate, severe and extreme. Regarding the state of mental health severity of this population, it was detected that 8.33% and 4.16% present moderate and severe levels of depression, in terms of anxiety, 22.2% and 9.72%. It presents moderate and extreme levels and with regard to stress, 9.72% are at severe levels, followed by 5.55 severe and 4.16 extreme. Conclusions: a large proportion of workers in the operational area presented symptoms related to stress. Regarding the level of severity, Depression and Anxiety were mostly classified as moderate, while Stress was classified as severe. Referral in the shortest possible time to expert medical personnel is necessary to take measures that contribute to the presence of occupational diseases.
