Resumen
El COVID-19 fue considerada una de las mayores pandemias que ha atravesado la sociedad en los últimos siglos. Asimismo, una de las mayores crisis de salud pública a nivel mundial. La transmisión del virus en el país reveló la desigualdad que esta enfrentó, tanto a nivel hospitalario como a nivel social, un sin número de personas no gozaron de los recursos necesarios para enfrentar pandemias de este tipo. Se optó por realizar una investigación de carácter cuantitativo, en la cual se buscó distinguir cuál fue el impacto sobre el giro cama y el número de días de estancia durante la estancia de pacientes de la UCI de la clínica Centro de la ciudad de Barranquilla, al mismo tiempo distinguir y describir variables como el giro cama y el número de días-estancia en una IPS de IV nivel.
Con esta investigación fue posible interpretar el manejo de estos indicadores de gestión hospitalaria durante una crisis sanitaria, así como determinar la comparación entre ellos y llevar al análisis de un plan de contingencia para un mejor manejo en posibles eventualidades futuras en este centro de atención. Finalmente, se buscó obtener resultados que favorecieran el manejo de la gestión hospitalaria y la atención que se le brinda a este tipo de indicadores en la Clínica Centro.
COVID-19 was considered one of the biggest pandemics that society has gone through in recent centuries. Also, one of the biggest public health crises worldwide. The transmission of the virus in the country revealed the inequality that it faced, both at the hospital level and at the social level, countless people did not enjoy the necessary resources to face pandemics of this type. It was decided to carry out a quantitative investigation, in which it was sought to distinguish what was the impact on the bed rotation and the number of days of stay during the stay of patients in the ICU of the Centro clinic of the city of Barranquilla, by at the same time, distinguish and describe variables such as bed rotation and the number of days-stay in a level IV IPS. With this research, it was possible to interpret the management of these hospital management indicators during a health crisis, as well as to determine the comparison between them and lead to the analysis of a contingency plan for better management of possible future eventualities in this care center. Finally, it was sought to obtain results that favored the management of hospital management and the attention that is given to this type of indicators in the Centro Clinic.
