Social reintegration throughout history has always been designed and aimed at achieving a normal life for the prisoner in society, where he or she is sufficiently capable of living together in a healthy way and acting under the legal and regulatory provisions in order to establish himself or herself at work. and socially. However, today the reality that frames the prison situation is very far from the scope and guarantee of a true social reintegration, since factors such as overcrowding, the lack of viable public policies and the diversion of the resources destined for these spaces and processes demarcate the hostility and dehumanization that life in prison faces. Therefore, and in reference to the previous paragraph, I quote Butler, et al. (2018) who argued that the deprivation of liberty when it is offered as a sign of punishment and abuses to confinement deteriorate and all psychological, family, social, personal problems, etc. are misaligned. what these people have faced; therefore, it would be much more viable to proceed with benevolence towards this group of people, who, although they are a threat or social danger, are still human and therefore require comprehensive care and support so that the penitentiary treatment that has been designed can bear fruit. and thus be able to reinsert him into society. Likewise, by taking criminal recidivism and the disproportionate increase in crime faced in the country as a reference, it is much clearer than most of the action plans that are based on activities to offer useful mechanisms and actions to the internal In terms of work, art, sports, culture and others, they do not have the best effects, since this reintegration work must fully focus on offering comprehensive tools, that is, on working individually with each person who arrives to purge a sentence or who is in this process, since generalizing the reality of each one is not a guarantee for these people to become aware of their actions, open their minds to change and manage to get away from criminal life.
