The research was carried out with the objective of formulating a strategic approach to improve the accessibility to the health service of the Adult, Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the IPS UCIS Colombia. Cucuta, Norte de Santander, 2023. Through a quantitative study methodology, with a deductive approach of non-experimental and bibliographic field design, the sample universe constituted by 211 users attended during the period of 2023 in the adult, neonatal and pediatric intensive care unit. For data collection, an instrument adapted from the Tanahashi health evaluation model was used. It was concluded that health accessibility is integrated by broad concepts that go beyond contexts of insurance and infrastructure or availability of resources. In services as complex as intensive care units, they require continuous training of staff in topics of effective communication and clear information, both to the family and the patient, as well as topics of relationship between the doctor and the patient and more human services.
