During the COVID 19 pandemic, the deterioration in the mental health of university students has been very noticeable (Velázquez 2020), although it is true that this inconvenience has existed since before confinement, however, it should be noted that this situation was the plus that overwhelmed the lack of motivation, stress, depression, anxiety (among others) that had been presenting in the student population to receive their classes, all these problems were covered not only as a result of family or personal situations (Fernández 2020), If not also, for the educational field since for many the need for technology and connectivity that as a result of the pandemic has now become a basic need that not everyone enjoys, becoming aspects associated with the aforementioned disorders, in addition to contribute to the presentation of learning problems (Barzola, Suarez 2020). Hence the importance of addressing this issue from psychology, which has led to knowing the impact of COVID 19 on university students based on the authors Restrepo, Ascue (2021), Fernández, Valero (2020), among others. Objective; To analyze how the virtual modality interfered with the educational performance of students at the Simón Bolívar University, Barranquilla, from the context of COVID-19.
