Schizophrenia, as we well know, is a psychological disorder that does not present itself in the same way in all cases. Some experience hallucinations, others delusions, others cause anxiety, and in many cases, it is a mixture of all these symptoms. According to the WHO, in Norte de Santander, during the years 2020-2023, 0.25% of a population of 456,405 with this diagnosis occurred. According to the study, this remains a diagnosis only; adherence to any type of treatment is not evident. Currently, there are treatments for the management of this mental illness with medications and CBT therapies. There is also a unified transdiagnostic protocol for the recognition of psychotic symptoms in older adults with schizophrenia. This therapeutic protocol seeks to treat emotional disorders in a more efficient and personalized manner. It is based on eight modules, each offering an alternative to traditional treatments that focus on a specific diagnosis. By addressing factors common to different emotional disorders, this protocol can be more effective and efficient in helping patients regain their emotional well-being for future well-being and quality of life
