Urinary tract infections are the second most prevalent cause of hospital consultation after respiratory infections, being one of the most common bacterial infections in women and doubling in pregnant women. According to the WHO, resistance to uropathogens has increased in recent years, which means that the usual microbial therapy does not work. Objective: To determine the prevalence of urinary tract infections in pregnant women at an IPS in 2019. Methodology: An observational, descriptive cross-sectional study on the main etiological agents, their hospital origin or in the community, the profile of sensitivity and resistance to antibiotics used in pregnant women with a diagnosis of urinary tract infections at any level at the Barranquilla IPS in 2019. Conclusions: Within the selected group studied, it was possible to identify the main causal agents of UTIs in pregnant women with high obstetric risk, among them: Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Proteus mirabilis. The age groups were categorized as the most affected, those with an age range between 16-26 and 27-45 years, and it was possible to establish that E. coli is one of the microorganisms with the highest incidence as a causal agent of UTI.
