The vulnerable population in Cúcuta faces social exclusion and limitations in access to basic services, which highlights the importance of Non-Profit Organizations (ESAL) in addressing these problems. The objective of this work was to characterize ESALs in Cúcuta, exploring their organizational structure, operating models and financial sustainability, in order to identify strategies to strengthen their social impact. The research adopted a post-positivist paradigm with a quantitative approach, non experimental and descriptive design. Data were collected through surveys applied to 25 ESALs, analyzing their missions, beneficiaries, programs and sustainability strategies. The results show that most of these entities serve children and adolescents, standing out for their strategic planning and collaborative partnerships, although they face challenges in income diversification and operational efficiency. It is concluded that while ESALs play a crucial role in social inclusion, they need to strengthen their financial sustainability and improve the clarity of their strategies. Implications include the need for greater inter-institutional integration and the implementation of replicable models to optimize their impact. This study provides valuable knowledge for the management of ESAL in contexts of vulnerability.
