The present research addresses return migration as a multi-causal phenomenon derived from the migratory typology. A returnee is considered a person who leaves his or her country of origin for a certain period of time and consequently returns to it. The return can be voluntary or forced, depending on the motivation. that generates the decision to return to the country. Three fundamental stages of the return process are addressed: motivation, trajectory and reintegration, linked to the events experienced. The main subject of the study is the returned migrant woman, due to the high statistics in Colombia and the world, thus putting her in greater vulnerability (Observatorio de Migrantes, 2022). Understanding return as a phenomenon that generates vulnerabilities, the need arises to analyze the social suffering emerging from this process, understanding social suffering as those social aspects that affect physical and mental suffering. (Parella et al., 2019). Social suffering generates impact at different levels (physical, emotional and cognitive) which is regulated by a coping process that can be focused on the problem or on the emotion. A qualitative methodology was implemented, from a hermeneutic paradigm based on interpretation and dialectics, with a phenomenological design delimiting the research. This focuses on the life experiences of the participants, which is why an in-depth interview was implemented with four participants where they obtained results from their own narratives such as: The reason for migrating from the country is related to the search for better opportunities to raise their quality. of life. On the other hand, the return occurs due to situations specific to the receiving country, generating effects. In the same way, they state that the trajectory took place through trails and they return in a group manner. Finally, in their adaptation process they had support familiar On the other hand, social suffering is implicit within the stories from four main indicators, which are: poverty, xenophobia, unemployment and insecurity. Regarding coping 8 styles, those styles focused on problems were identified, since economic independence prevails in independent work. Next, focusing on emotion, it is found that feelings of anguish and sadness prevail in the narratives and their processes.
