Social management is an innovative concept in the university environment and aims to give anew vision to the commitment that Higher Education has in the face of the challenges of the context of a globalized world in constant change. The objective of the research was to determine the impact of transformational leadership in social management programs at the American University Institution of Barranquilla for the evaluation of the interventions carried out. The research is correlational with a quantitative approach and non-experimental cross-sectional design. To collect the information, a Likert Scale-type survey was applied based on the IPL Inventory proposed by Kouzes and Posner and the Shared Value Cycle of Poter and Kramer, to 24 teachers, 3 officials and 52 students. The results were processed with SPSS v5 statistical software with the optimal scaling functionality. Regarding the results, it was identified that transformational leadership has been widely adopted in the university's social management programs, evidencing a marked transformative role that has positively influenced the dynamics and results of said programs. At the same time, the lines of action of these programs were precisely characterized, revealing an innovative management model adapted to the needs and characteristics of the university community. Finally, it was established that transformational leadership has contributed significantly and positively to these programs, optimizing their effectiveness and reaffirming their relevance in university social management.
