Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, significant changes have occurred in classrooms and teaching practices worldwide. Teaching and learning have been affected by digital experiences and various methodologies. In this context, a research study was conducted in three educational institutions in the Atlántico department with the aim of analyzing the impact of emergency remote education during the COVID-19 pandemic on teaching and learning processes. The study was based on a mixed-methods approach, specifically a case study. Two structured surveys were used to collect data, including an adaptation of the "Discover the Digital Potential of Your School" tool from the European Union's Selfie program, administered to teachers and students. Additionally, two semistructured interviews were conducted. The results revealed that the traditional classroom setting shifted to various environments, such as virtual classrooms, phone calls, blended learning, and face-to-face modalities. The conclusions highlight that over the years, teaching methodologies have evolved to incorporate digital technologies into the teaching and learning process.
