bovino.
This study analyzes the impact of export costs and their relationship with public health policies for the export of live cattle in Colombia, using a case study of one of the leading trading companies in the industry. Governmental and health policies are fundamental for live cattle exports in terms of productivity, profitability, and competitiveness. The analysis focused on evaluating government policies related to the export logistics of these products, necessary customs procedures, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements, applicable taxes and fees, and all other regulatory factors affecting exports. Costs and associated time were assessed. Additionally, governmental incentives and policies supporting the livestock and export sectors are reviewed. The results demonstrate the importance of clear, consistent, and favorable governmental policies in the sustainable development of live cattle trade and identify opportunities to improve logistical efficiency, reduce operational costs, streamline procedures, and enhance the international competitiveness of companies. The significance of this article lies in providing valuable information for governmental, industrial, and business decision-makers, as well as academics interested in these topics. It is important to highlight that this study evaluates the impact of new regulations, which resulted in several factors affecting livestock production prices, but international confidence in Colombian production after government measures shows a significant increase in bovine exports
