This research project aims to understand the role of the family in the reintegration process of the peace signatories from the municipality of Tibú, with the goal of preventing them from returning to armed conflict. The research is framed within the interpretive paradigm of a qualitative approach and a phenomenological design. For this, data collection techniques such as semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and a matrix for analysis and data processing were employed. The study uses a non-probabilistic, convenience sampling method, with the sample including four couples of peace signatories from the municipality of Tibú. The study shows that women assume roles as caregivers and providers, while men focus on being providers. Women face an overload of responsibilities, supporting both the family and the reintegration of their husbands. The family plays a key role in preventing peace signatories from returning to armed conflict, offering emotional and motivational support. The experiences of the conflict affect family dynamics, creating new structures after demobilization. Dialogue is crucial for resolving conflicts, and mutual support is essential for overcoming difficulties. Finally, the family is an important motivation to continue reintegration and contribute to lasting peace, highlighting the relevance of educational programs, productive projects, and housing initiatives.
