School violence is a problem that has been affecting school environments for many years, making it pertinent to understand the issue in depth and find optimal ways to address it. This research article aims to delve into the concept of school violence, its scope and implications through the review of research articles. It was concluded that violence is still very present in the Barranquilla context, and that it has a complex nature that encompasses many areas of student life. Through a multifactorial approach, school violence is related to school climate, power relations and the psychological area of the human being. Psychological intervention, training of school personnel in behavioral management techniques and early intervention strategies were proposed as solutions. It was left open the possibility of further deepening the topic focusing on issues such as the massification of social networks and the effect of the pandemic.
