The purpose of this study is to generate for the higher tourism training programs in the multicultural context of Riohacha Special Tourist and Cultural District, a curricular proposal that transforms the unsustainable and unsustainable tourism tradition. Fort this, and according to Fals Borda and Rodríguez (1991), the investigative process will seek, through observation, participation, reflection, action and planning, to generate collective investigation processes with the tourist actors involved. The above will be done in order to characterize the tourist tradition of the multicultural context of Riohacha, which, we hope, will provoke a mobilization of emancipatory awareness in the tourist actor that leads to a transformation of their actions, managements and behaviors. At the same time, it is intended to contribute to the development of sustainable tourism in environmental, socio-cultural and economic terms. In addition, this research also seeks to unveil the tourist curricular programs taught in higher education, in order to determine the theoretical, epistemological and methodological components that allow the construction and implementation of a curricular proposal in higher education’s programs. This aspect of the work seeks to influence the transformation of a sustainable and sustainable tourism tradition in the multicultural context of Riohacha Special Tourist and Cultural District.
