The project deals with the pilot study of technology transfer in a crop of the village of Pitalito, it was clear to the researchers, that this corresponded not only to the training, but to the technical assistance and advice, which the growers should receive, so it was necessary to ask how this step of transfer of new knowledge occurs. and how popular are new technologies? Correa, et.al (2019) identified the difficulties that owners and workers of small productive units have to manage the transfer of appropriate technology. As it is the study of a process, a longitudinal design was made, to collect the data at different times or periods and the corrections that were made to guarantee the results. To explain the transfer, it was necessary to contextualize agriculture and horticultural crops, where inherited ancestral knowledge prevails, whose oral transmission is one of the main ways of learning to cultivate. In Latin America, interesting experiences have been made on how to improve crops, especially those of vegetables that have been increasing their consumption in recent years, as recorded in the FAO report (2019). The result was the demonstration that it was possible to exceed the expected yields, taking as indicators the parameters established by using the best practices with the use of improved seeds obtaining a higher yield and at less cost than the forms of cultivation carried out by people who have been in the trade for a long time. Both the owners and the workers suggested the application of new horticultural technologies in the crops of the area following the procedure used.
