15.1%, Proteusmirabilis5.9%, Enterobacterssp. 4.6%, Streptococcusagalactiae 1.9% y Staphylococcusaureus 0.8%.
The incidence of urinary tract infection in pregnant women is slightly higher than in the non-pregnant population, its maternal-fetal repercussions are usually severe. Due to the high prevalence of UTI in pregnant women, day by day it is observed how they consult with clear and compatible clinical pictures, empirical treatment is initiated due to the clinical state and the risk of adverse outcomes, hence, from time to time it is important to know the behavior microbiological antimicrobial resistance profile. In order to know local data, a retrospective descriptive study was proposed, with the objective of describe the etiological profile and sensitivity pattern in pregnant women with urinary tract infection that required hospitalization in a second level institution, Barranquilla 2017-2018. The sample consisted of 152 patientshopspitalized by IVU with positive urine culture. It was concluded that the etiologic agent isolated in pregnant women who required hospitalization for urinary tract infection was Escherichia coli with 55.3%, followed by Klepsiellassp 16.4%, Enterococcus ssp. 15.1%, Proteus mirabilis 5.9%, Enterobacter ssp. 4.6%, Streptococcus agalactiae 1.9% and Staphylococcus aureus 0.8%.
