This research was conducted within the academic framework of Simón Bolívar University, under the Faculty of Business and Administration, with the objective of identifying and analyzing the motivational factors that influence the performance of apprentices and interns during their productive stage in a leading company in the manufacturing of sustainable packaging, located in the city of Barranquilla, Colombia. This study arises from the need to understand how motivational elements impact the work experience and performance of young individuals in training, who represent a developing workforce and a strategic resource for the organization's future. In this company, apprentices and interns who complete their productive stage participate in exit interviews, allowing the organization to gather information about their experience, level of satisfaction, and perceptions regarding the work environment. These interviews have revealed that some participants express not feeling completely satisfied with their formative stage, raising concerns within the human talent management area. This situation presents important questions about the conditions that may be negatively affecting the performance and motivation of young people during their time in the company. Motivation, understood as a set of internal and external factors that stimulate interest and commitment to an activity, has become a key topic in human talent management, especially concerning the new generations entering the workforce. Various studies agree that motivation levels directly influence performance, productivity, and job satisfaction. In the case of apprentices and interns, these factors may be even more relevant, as they are at a crucial stage of professional development, in which their first work experiences can shape their view of work and their commitment to personal and organizational growth. The methodology used in this research was quantitative, with a deductive approach. A structured questionnaire with a Likert scale was designed and applied, which made it possible to obtain objective data on the perceptions of apprentices and interns regarding various motivational factors.
