Musculoskeletal disorders in the lower back represent a great problem for society, the chronic pain that this entails is reduced by means of analgesics, which usually cause harmful side effects for health. Electrostimulation is a relatively new field of study that allows relieving muscle ailments, a previous study has shown that it is possible to reduce the medication of patients undergoing postoperative rehabilitation. This research analyzes the feasibility of including electrotherapy in pharmacological treatments using a TENS device in continuous mode once a day with the purpose of minimizing the need for analgesics (methocarbamol) contributing to the palliation of musculoskeletal diseases in a friendlier way. for the human body. Two clinical cases were studied, of which a decrease in the consumption of methocarbamol was only observed in one of the patients, this is attributed to the fact that in the other case the daily consumption is one pill a day, and the TENS is not capable of eliminate the need to ingest the medication. Finally, the results obtained with TENS and the information available on it were analyzed with the results obtained from other investigations of the peripheral nerve stimulation technique, and through this comparison it was concluded that TENS is more viable for its ease of acquisition and use for the public.
