dc.description.abstractEn este artículo se describe el concepto de ludopatía como una problemática que se evidencia a nivel mundial y que posee relación con los juegos de azar que son propios de diversas culturas alrededor del mundo, lo cual es considerado como una actividad generalizada y se presenta desde diferentes intenciones: por placer, como pasatiempo o forma de consecución de recursos económicos. El objetivo principal es Determinar la relación entre la ludopatía con el rendimiento académico de estudiantes de 18 a 25 años de la Facultad de ciencias de la salud de la Universidad Simón Bolívar por medio de la realización de cuestionarios. Este es un estudio observacional descriptivo cuantitativo de tipo longitudinal. Dichos resultados fueron favorables. Esto permitió analizar detalladamente nuestro tema y verificar si la población está siendo afectada o simplemente no está la consciencia de que tienen un trastorno por los juegos del azar de todo tipo de índole.spa
dc.description.abstractThis article describes the concept of gambling as a problem that is evident worldwide and that is related to games of chance that are typical of different cultures around the world, which is considered a generalized activity and is presented from different intentions: for pleasure, as a hobby or way of obtaining financial resources. The main objective is to determine the relationship between gambling and the academic performance of students aged 18 to 25 from the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Simón Bolívar University by means of questionnaires. This is a longitudinal descriptive quantitative observational study. These results were favorable. This allowed us to analyze our subject in detail and verify if the population is being affected or is simply not aware that they have a gambling disorder of all kinds.eng
