Road accidents among motorcyclists represent a public health problem that has a significant impact on hospital services in the city of Cúcuta. Therefore, a study was conducted based on a descriptive and cross-sectional statistical analysis, which aimed to analyse the epidemiological data on accidents among motorcyclists admitted to the Erasmo Meoz University Hospital during the period 2020-2024, together with the design of an educational strategy as a preventive measure. For the statistical analysis, variables of age, sex, cause of admission, type of medical service and temporal distribution of accidents by months and years during the selected period were included. On the other hand, the discussion highlights risk factors such as substance abuse, non-compliance with traffic regulations, non-use of protective equipment, poor road infrastructure and limitations in terms of road safety education for motorcyclists, which must be addressed beforehand in order to properly understand and intervene in the problem. Finally, the study not only describes the risk patterns that underpin the phenomenon of road accidents and the main demands on the hospital sector resulting from this but also proposes the implementation of a new pedagogical strategy based on a comprehensive approach, aimed at promoting better driving practices and road culture in the region.
