Resumen
La universidad, como espacio de formación académica y desarrollo personal, no escapa de la realidad y se convierte en un contexto relevante para analizar las actitudes hacia la igualdad de género. En este contexto, el presente estudio se propuso comprender las actitudes de los estudiantes de la Universidad Simón Bolívar hacia la igualdad de género. A través de la investigación, se buscaron identificar las percepciones, creencias y comportamientos que influyen en la promoción o limitación de la igualdad de género en el ámbito universitario. De esta manera, se espera contribuir al conocimiento y la reflexión sobre este tema, así como aportar recomendaciones y propuestas de acción que impulsen un cambio positivo en la comunidad universitaria y promuevan una cultura de igualdad de género. En el contexto de los estudiantes en la universidad Simón Bolívar revelan que la discriminación de género, la desigualdad y los estereotipos de género persisten en diversos ámbitos de la sociedad, incluyendo el ámbito educativo. Esto ha generado una creciente preocupación por abordar estas problemáticas y promover la igualdad de género.
Objetivos: El objetivo principal de este estudio fue comprender las representaciones de los estudiantes de la Universidad Simón Bolívar hacia la igualdad de género. Se buscó explorar las percepciones, creencias y comportamientos relacionados con este tema, con el fin de identificar posibles desafíos y oportunidades para promover la igualdad de género dentro de la comunidad universitaria.
The university, as a space for academic formation and personal development, is not exempt from reality and becomes a relevant context to analyze attitudes towards gender equality. In this context, this study aimed to understand the attitudes of students at Universidad Simón Bolívar towards gender equality. Through the research, the goal was to identify the perceptions, beliefs, and behaviors that influence the promotion or limitation of gender equality in the university setting. In this way, it is expected to contribute to knowledge and reflection on this topic, as well as provide recommendations and action proposals that drive positive change in the university community and promote a culture of gender equality. Within the context of students at Universidad Simón Bolívar, it is revealed that gender discrimination, inequality, and gender stereotypes persist in various areas of society, including the educational environment. This has generated growing concern toaddress these issues and promote gender equality.
