The main objective of this project is to develop the design of a web application aimed at preventing and treating the abuse of psychoactive substances, in collaboration with the Antorcha Foundation. Addiction to such substances represents a severe problem that affects a large number of people worldwide. For this reason, the foundation provides comprehensive care to individuals suffering from this problem and their families. In order to strengthen the substance abuse prevention services of the Antorcha Foundation, the main goal of this project is to design an informative web application. The aim is to create a computer tool that provides online information and is available to the general public, allowing members of the foundation to showcase their services. This will greatly support individuals addicted to substances who are seeking help and wish to connect with organizations like the Antorcha Foundation, so that their quality of life is significantly improved, and they can achieve proper social reintegration. Within the theoretical and conceptual framework of the project, a variety of concepts are covered, such as information architecture, user experience and interface design, technological applications, web pages and sites, as well as foundations and prevention programs. To carry out the development of this project, two design methodologies will be employed, namely User-Centered Design (UCD) and the Object-Oriented Hypermedia Design Model (OOHDM). This will ensure that the design process is optimal and meets the objectives outlined earlier in the project. Ultimately, this project aimed to have a positive impact across various domains, including political, technological, investigative, inclusive, and social aspects. The goal was to bolster the efforts undertaken by the Colombian government in support of Target 3.5 outlined in Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) number 3, which focuses on the health and well-being of all. Furthermore, the intention is to benefit the academic community, as this project aims to generate new knowledge in the relevant field of study.
