| spa |

From the beginning, its severity was understood and the groups capable of facing greater complications were recognized, especially those made up of patients with comorbidities such as Arterial Hypertension, Cardiovascular Disease, Smoking Habit, Chronic Respiratory Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease, Chronic Liver Disease and Immunodeficiencies; all of these increase the risk of complications, within which superinfections are associated with higher mortality. Objective: To determine the risk factors associated with pulmonary bacterial superinfection and describe the microbiological profile in patients with SARSCoV-2 intubated in an Intensive Care Unit in the city of Barranquilla, period 2021. Materials and Methods: a case-control study designed under quantitative foundations was carried out. The population isaccompanied by critically ill patients with SARSCoV-2 infection admitted to an Intensive Care Unit of an IPS in the city of Barranquilla. | eng |
