This paper explores the importance of developing and implementing environmental policies in courier companies, with the goal of minimizing their ecological footprint and adopting sustainable practices that respond to the sector's current challenges. Through a review of specialized literature and an analysis of global trends in logistics, the main environmental challenges are identified, such as greenhouse gas emissions, dependence on fossil fuels, and excessive waste generation, including non-recyclable packaging. These problems not only affect the environment but also represent regulatory and reputational risks for companies. As a solution, a structured methodology is proposed to design and implement effective environmental policies, prioritizing three key axes: optimizing distribution routes using artificial intelligence to reduce distances and fuel consumption; the transition to electric or hybrid vehicle fleets; and promoting a corporate culture oriented toward sustainability, with training and awareness programs for employees. The findings demonstrate that these measures not only mitigate the environmental impact but also generate economic benefits, such as operational savings and greater attractiveness for customers and investors committed to ecological responsibility. In conclusion, the integration of sustainable strategies is consolidated as an essential factor in ensuring the competitiveness and long-term growth of courier companies, in a global context that increasingly demands clear and measurable environmental commitments.
