| spa |
dc.description.abstract | The concern arising from the interest in knowing how clinical psychology was intervening in children, specifically from the humanistic-existential approach, leads the present monograph to search for the most relevant and present approaches applied in childhood. In this sense, the monograph aims at the bibliographical-analytical review in which it is proposed to explore the therapeutic intervention strategies in childhood from the perspective of the humanistic-existential approach, in addition to reviewing the latest theoretical currents and research in this area and the different strategies used in order to provide evidence-based conclusions for therapeutic intervention in children. To carry out this review, an exhaustive search of updated scientific literature was conducted in specialized databases such as Scopus and Vosviewer yielding 107 scientific articles and 4474 patents in the period from 2018 to 2023 which revealed a number of significant findings. We had as inclusion criteria only all papers published on therapeutic intervention strategies in childhood, papers mentioning therapeutic intervention strategies in childhood and as exclusion criteria papers published in 2018 and previous years in addition to papers not registered in Scopus and secondary sources. By way of conclusion, it is important to highlight that the Netherlands, Brazil and China have conducted significant research in this field, which demonstrates a global interest in therapeutic interventions from an existential humanistic approach. This global approach highlights the importance of addressing the emotional and existential needs of children in different cultural contexts. In addition, five trends were identified in the field of child therapeutic intervention strategies from an existential humanistic approach: a holistic and child-centered approach, the integration of diverse therapeutic modalities, the promotion of resilience and empowerment, a culturally sensitive approach, and research on effectiveness and long-term outcomes. These trends reflect the evolution and search for more comprehensive and effective therapeutic approaches in the international and national context. | eng |
