Resumen
La deserción es una de los principales retos que enfrentan los sistemas educativos en el mundo, pues esta contrarresta a la graduación estudiantil como reflejo del cumplimiento del objetivo fundamental de la educación superior. La deserción en el SENA es un fenómeno que ha impactado en los últimos tiempos. La presente investigación tiene como objetivo diseñar un plan de gestión de los índices de deserción de los aprendices matriculados en la oferta abierta presencial del CCS-RA del SENA que impacte positivamente en el cumplimiento de la meta de certificación. La investigación tiene un enfoque cualitativo de tipo descriptivo usando un método deductivo con enfoque hacia la identificación y el análisis de información por ajustarse mejor a la naturaleza del problema. Las fases de investigación abarcan una fase de análisis, una fase de identificación y una fase de desarrollo de la propuesta. Asimismo, la variable a investigar fue la deserción en la población aprendiz del CCS-RA del SENA, en donde se tomó una muestra de 113 desertores de la institución en los último años. La investigación permitió concluir que la deserción académica debe entenderse como un problema que va más allá del aprendiz, quien históricamente ha recibido toda la responsabilidad de una situación que reviste multifactorialidad, y que en el CCS-RA del SENA no es la excepción, con el agravante que en los últimos dos años tuvo el precedente de la pandemia de la Covid-19 como un factor relevante para que esa situación se multiplicara, pero al ser una situación atípica de muy baja probabilidad de ocurrencia no fue tenida en cuenta como factor en la presente investigación.
Dropping out is one of the main challenges faced by educational systems in the world, since it counteracts student graduation as a reflection of the fulfillment of the fundamental objective of higher education. The desertion in the SENA is a phenomenon that has had an impact in recent years. The objective of this research is to design a management plan for the dropout rates of apprentices enrolled under the face-to-face modality of the open offer of the Trade and Services Center of SENA of the Atlantic Region that positively impacts the fulfillment of the goal of certification. The research has a descriptive qualitative approach using a deductive method with a focus on the identification and analysis of information to better fit the nature of the problem. The research phases encompass an analysis phase, an identification phase, and a proposal development phase. Likewise, the variable to investigate was desertion in the apprentice population of the Atlantic Regional Center for Commerce and Services of SENA, where a sample of 113 deserters from the institution in recent years was taken. The investigation allowed us to conclude that academic desertion should be understood as a problem that goes beyond the apprentice, who historically has received all the responsibility for a situation that is multifactorial, and that in the Trade and Services Center of the Atlantic Region of SENA there is no is the exception, with the aggravating circumstance that in the last two years the precedent of the Covid-19 pandemic was a relevant factor for this situation to multiply, but since it was an atypical situation with a very low probability of occurrence, it was not considered. considered as a factor in this research.
