Resumen
El presente trabajo de investigación analiza la influencia de las dinámicas familiares en la construcción de la identidad infantil en la vereda Valegra, corregimiento de San Bernardo, municipio de Toledo, Norte de Santander. Esta iniciativa se enmarca en el enfoque del Estudio de lo Propio, promovido por la Universidad Simón Bolívar, el cual invita a reflexionar sobre las problemáticas sociales desde los territorios de origen, promoviendo una mirada crítica, contextualizada y comprometida con la transformación social. La pregunta central del estudio busca comprender cómo las formas de organización familiar, los roles de cuidado, las prácticas de crianza y el acceso a redes de apoyo inciden en el desarrollo identitario de los niños y niñas del contexto rural. Se reconoce que la infancia en estos territorios enfrenta desafíos como la exclusión social, la pobreza estructural, la débil presencia institucional y las secuelas del conflicto armado, factores que complejizan su desarrollo integral. A través de un enfoque cualitativo y la participación activa de los niños y niñas, el estudio busca generar conocimiento situado sobre sus vivencias y percepciones. Los hallazgos permitirán visibilizar las necesidades y capacidades de estas familias rurales, y aportar al fortalecimiento del acompañamiento psicosocial y educativo desde una perspectiva del Trabajo Social, promoviendo entornos familiares protectores, afectivos y favorecedores de la identidad infantil en contextos vulnerables.
This research paper analyzes the influence of family dynamics on the construction of children's identity in the village of Valegra, San Bernardo district, Toledo municipality, Norte de Santander. This initiative is part of the Estudio de lo Propio approach, promoted by Simón Bolívar University. This approach invites reflection on social issues from the perspective of children's territories of origin, fostering a critical, contextualized perspective committed to social transformation. The central question of the study seeks to understand how forms of family organization, caregiving roles, parenting practices, and access to support networks impact the identity development of children in rural areas. It is recognized that children in these territories face challenges such as social exclusion, structural poverty, weak institutional presence, and the aftermath of armed conflict, factors that complicate their comprehensive development. Through a qualitative approach and the active participation of children, the study seeks to generate situated knowledge about their experiences and perceptions. The findings will shed light on the needs and capacities of these rural families and contribute to strengthening psychosocial and educational support from a social work perspective, promoting protective, nurturing, and identity-enhancing family environments for children in vulnerable contexts.
