Embarazo adolescente en el Departamento Norte de Santander, Colombia. Una mirada desde factores psicosociales para la intervención terapéutica

Resumen
El artículo tiene como objetivo describir la asociación entre
algunas variables de determinantes distales relacionadas
con embarazo adolescente: (a) decisión de quedar embarazada,
(b) uso del condón en el debut sexual y (c) conocimiento
del periodo fértil, con respecto a los factores edad, nivel
educativo y situación de pareja de la adolescente. (d) Lugar
de residencia y con quién vive, (e) situación bajo la cual se
dio el embarazo no deseado, (f) embarazo no deseado, (g)
acto sexual sin usar anticonceptivos pensando que nada sucedería
(h) acto sexual usando anticonceptivos modernos
que fallaron, con respecto a los factores nivel educativo y
situación de pareja de la adolescente. El método utilizado tiene
enfoque cuantitativo. La población estudiada fueron 6.435
mujeres entre 10 y 19 años, adolescentes embarazadas en
el cuarto mes o posterior o madres con hijos no mayores de
18 meses. Los resultados relevantes apuntan a una asociación
moderada del nivel educativo con la situación de pareja;
una significativa y fuerte relación entre la situación de pareja
y el lugar de residencia de la adolescente según comparte o
no la convivencia con su pareja y entre las condiciones que
generaron el embarazo no deseado y el escenario conyugal.
The article aims to describe the association between some variables of distal determinants related to adolescent pregnancy: (a) decision to become pregnant, (b) use of the condom in sexual debut and (c) knowledge of the fertile period, with respect to age factors, educational level and situation of the adolescent’s partner. (d) Place of residence and with whom you live, (e) situation under which the unwanted pregnancy occurred, (f) unwanted pregnancy, (g) sexual act without using contraceptives thinking that nothing would happen (h) sexual act using modern contraceptives that failed, with respect to the educational level factors and the couple’s situation of the adolescent. The method used has a quantitative approach. The population studied was 6,435 women between 10 and 19 years old, pregnant teenagers in the fourth or subsequent month or mothers with children no older than 18 months. The relevant results point to a moderate association of the educational level with the couple situation; a significant and strong relationship between the situation of the couple and the place of residence of the adolescent according to whether or not she shares her relationship with her partner and between the conditions that generated the unwanted pregnancy and the conjugal scenario.
