presenta buena capacidad funcional tras padecer dicho virus.
Introduction: According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), globally, the number of weekly COVID-19 cases and deaths continued to decline. More than 3.3 million new cases and more than 55,000 new deaths were reported during the week of September 20-26, 2021, a 10% decrease compared to the previous week for both cases and deaths. The largest decrease in new weekly cases was recorded in the Eastern Mediterranean Region (17%), followed by the Western Pacific Region (15%), the Americas Region (14%), the African Region (12%) and the Southern Region. -East Asia Region (10%); while weekly cases in the European Region were like the previous week. The cumulative number of confirmed cases reported globally now exceeds 231 million and the cumulative number of deaths exceeds 4.7 million” (2). “According to the latest report, in Colombia there are 4,955,848 confirmed cases, with Bogotá being the area with the most infections with a total of 1,449,562. This Wednesday, September 29, 2021, 1,472 new positive cases, forty-two deaths and 1,992 recovered were registered in the country. Objective: Determine the association between the social determinants of health and the functional capacity of post-COVID 19 post-covid-19 subjects in the city of Barranquilla. Results: In the results obtained for the association between gender and functional capacity, women have a good score with 71.6% compared to men who obtained 28.6%. This, associated with the results of the study by Naiara Vitoria Pérez, shows that the female population has greater functional capacity than the male population and the percentage of the total functional capacity of the population studied estimates that 56.76% have good functional capacity after suffering from said virus. Conclusions: it is key to determine how affected they have been and the lifestyle that can act as a factor that triggers this type of conditions, and which contribute to the generation of loss of functional abilities.
