The research project aimed to analyze the relationship between psychological well-being and quality of life of couples of people who consume alcohol in order to identify whether there is an alteration in psychological well-being or quality of life due to alcohol consumption of their partner. The research is supported by the positivist paradigm of quantitative type with a non-experimental and cross-sectional design and had a non-probabilistic sample which consisted of 48 people with their respective couples aged between 18 and 47 years old to whom various tests were applied such as a format of sociodemographic data, the AUDIT test of the OMS to measure the risk of alcohol consumption, Ryff & Keyes psychological well-being scale adapted by Salas-Picón and the SF-36 Ware and Sherbourne test for quality of life; the results revealed a generally high level of psychological well-being, a generally favourable level of quality of life and finally a level of risk of alcohol use which tended to be average; according to the results, no significant correlations were shown between the variables evaluated, possibly due to the limited sample and low participation.
