Resumen
RAS E.S.P. , Reciclaje y Ambiente Solidario ESP.
RAS E.S.P. Recycling and Solidarity Environment ESP. It is an association of recyclers of the Colombian Caribbean, born from the desire and need to organize and humanize the work of people engaged in the recycling activity, collecting, sorting, and eliminating the material in reuse conditions, thus reducing the large tons of polluting waste that is dumped in the landfills of the different cities of the country and damages the environment. They generate income through the utilization rate charged to users and the sale of the recycled product. The constant confrontation with the competition, companies that are providing the service in an organized and structured way, also their income dependent on the tons of waste that they discharge to the landfills, who see the new recycling companies, now converted into service providers domiciliary audiences, as a competition and try to neutralize their growth and prominence, using control strategies taking advantage of the competitive advantage supported by their large capitals. We rely on the administrative theories of the five forces of Michael Porter, to determine their competitive strategy against the monopoly that large companies in this sector have, running the business from large commercial spheres, showing how recyclers, step by step have opened the way, obtaining successes that vary the results in their reports, their income and see the change in that humble person who lived in begging, today receives income that has improved the quality of life, which has given the association the opportunity to be Nominated for “GEMAS V ENVIRONMENTAL PRIZE”, as the best environmental organization, “ex officio recyclers, change agents”, organized by the environmental authorities.
