Resumen
La economía circular, como modelo de negocio, tiene como objetivo optimizar materiales de
productos usados mediante la eliminación de residuos, reciclándolos y transformándolos en
nuevos productos para generar ingresos adicionales e impactar positivamente en el medio
ambiente. El ensayo se centra en proponer un modelo de economía circular para la
disposición final de uniformes usados en la Universidad Simón Bolívar en Cúcuta. El análisis
descriptivo destaca los métodos efectivos actualmente disponibles, mostrando un aumento
en la conciencia de la población de Cúcuta sobre la necesidad de contribuir a la mejora
ambiental a través del reciclaje, la comercialización, la donación y la transformación de ropa
usada.
Diversas iniciativas en el país contribuyen a un futuro mejor mediante prácticas sostenibles
y la creación de una cultura de sostenibilidad. Ejemplos incluyen "Garage Sale by Eleonora
Morales", que promueve el reciclaje de ropa, "Closeando", que permite a las mujeres reciclar
y comerciar ropa en línea, y "H&M", que anima a los clientes a llevar ropa no utilizada a las
tiendas para su reciclaje. Colombiamoda sirve como plataforma fundamental en Colombia,
alentando a empresas y diseñadores a adoptar la moda sostenible y abordar problemas
ambientales causados por la disposición inadecuada de la ropa usada.
La propuesta busca agregar valor a la Universidad al mejorar su modelo de sostenibilidad,
mitigar riesgos de seguridad e imagen corporativa y posiblemente reducir impuestos
mediante la creación de empleos. La propuesta se dirige a poblaciones vulnerables a través
de alianzas estratégicas con proveedores, entidades gubernamentales o privadas y la
academia
The circular economy, as a business model, aims to optimize materials from used products by eliminating waste, recycling them, and transforming them into new products to generate additional income and positively impact the environment. The essay focuses on proposing a circular economy model for the final disposal of used uniforms at Simón Bolívar University in Cúcuta. The descriptive analysis highlights the currently available effective methods, showing an increase in the awareness of the population in Cúcuta regarding the need to contribute to environmental improvement through recycling, commercialization, donation, and the transformation of used clothing. Various initiatives in the country contribute to a better future through sustainable practices and the creation of a sustainability culture. Examples include "Garage Sale by Eleonora Morales," promoting clothing recycling, "Closeando," allowing women to recycle and trade clothing online, and "H&M," encouraging customers to bring unused clothing to stores for recycling. Colombiamoda serves as a fundamental platform in Colombia, encouraging companies and designers to embrace sustainable fashion and address environmental issues caused by improper disposal of used clothing. The proposal aims to add value to the University by improving its sustainability model, mitigating security and corporate image risks, and possibly reducing taxes through job creation. The proposal targets vulnerable populations through strategic alliances with suppliers, government or private entities, and academia.
