Resumen
El proceso de atención de enfermería es un método científico para brindar cuidado de enfermería a personas sanas o enfermas, acorde con sus necesidades o problemas, además es una herramienta que permite garantizar la calidad del cuidado, definir el ejercicio profesional y prestar cuidados de una forma racional, lógica y sistemática.
Hay que tener en cuenta que para llevar a cabo el proceso de atención los profesionales de enfermería deben tener una serie de capacidades como: capacidad técnica, capacidad intelectual y capacidad de relación, es importante conocer dichas capacidades para cumplirlas de manera satisfactoria, en donde el sujeto de cuidado sea visto en forma holística.
El proceso de administración de medicamentos en el ámbito hospitalario exige un trabajo de equipo en donde intervienen activamente diferentes disciplinas en un gran proceso que inicia en la prescripción médica, continúa con su dispensación bajo responsabilidad del farmaceuta y termina con la recepción, preparación y administración por el profesional de enfermería.
